Transparent, All-Inclusive Senior Living
At Memory Lane, we understand that finding care for a loved one with dementia can feel overwhelming. Many assisted living facilities and adult foster care communities increase the price of care as a person’s condition progresses, or exclude services and amenities from their advertised rates. We understand that changing needs are a natural part of living with dementia, which is why our pricing is fully transparent and all-inclusive.
For one flat, monthly fee, your loved one will enjoy around-the-clock care from a small, consistent group of caregivers they will come to know and trust. This rate includes all their meals, activities, and toiletries, too. If you have questions about paying for dementia care, we welcome you to request a consultation with our team today!
How We Care for Older Adults with Dementia
Caring for a person with dementia can be overwhelming for family members. At Memory Lane, our dementia care specialists prioritize your loved one’s health, wellness, and cognitive needs. That way, you can focus on creating more meaningful, positive, and joyous moments with them during your visits!
Your Dementia Care Questions Answered
Many families wonder how to care for someone with dementia, and find that the challenges can become overwhelming quickly. While each person is unique, and there are no specific rules about timing, we generally recommend scheduling a consultation with us when:
- You are struggling to meet their care needs as a family caregiver
- Your own mental and physical health is at risk from additional caregiving duties
- Your loved one’s home environment is no longer safe for them (wandering behaviors, leaving the stove on, fall hazards, etc.)
- Your loved one lives alone, withdraws from social activities, or is at risk of isolation
- Your loved one is exhibiting aggressive or abusive behaviors, putting both your safety and theirs at risk
Neither Medicaid nor Medicare covers long-term dementia care. Coverage for senior care typically only includes short-term, doctor-prescribed care. However, at Memory Lane, we do accept all forms of long-term care insurance, and we strive to keep costs as affordable as possible with all-inclusive rates:
- Regular Room: $9,500 per month
- Master Suite with Private Bath: $9,900 per month
If any extra services are required that would necessitate additional fees, we will let you know well in advance so that you never have to guess about paying for your loved one’s care!
Our caregivers are highly trained to reduce challenging dementia behaviors, promote a sense of calm and serenity, and support residents with unique sensory issues, especially when it comes to ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hygiene. However, we also maintain relationships with a network of professionals in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area, whose services can be coordinated as needed:
- Visiting physicians
- Visiting podiatrists
- Recreational therapists
- In-home physical, occupational, and speech therapists
- In-home lab and X-ray services
- In-home therapists specializing in elder care
- In-home hairdressers
