About Us

Our team is made of compassionate caregivers who strive every day to bring a more client-focused, human-centric approach to dementia care.

Personalizing Memory Care in Ypsilanti, MI

At Memory Lane Assisted Living, we’re bridging gaps between Adult Foster Care, Memory Care, and the comforts of home. Our goal is to bring the human element back to senior care in a small residential setting where your loved one will get the time, attention, and specialized dementia care they deserve. We’ve seen firsthand the difference that a person-centered approach can make in the health and wellness of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. And now we’re bringing that approach to families in Ypsilanti and the greater Ann Arbor area.

The Core Values that Drive All Our Memory Care Services

In everything we do, we have one goal: to take the best possible care of our residents. We achieve this goal by living our values every day, and taking senior care to the highest level in the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor area.

A Close Up Of A Light

Holistic Care

We believe in taking care of the whole person. In other words, it’s important that your loved one not only has medical care, but a lifestyle that encourages health and happiness. That’s why every resident relationship begins with a comprehensive in-home evaluation by our Recreational Therapist. This lets us take your loved one’s interests, experiences, career, and medical history into account in their care plan.

Many memory care facilities charge residents more once they require a higher level of care. But because we understand the progressive nature of dementia, our rate will not increase when your loved one’s needs increase. We provide the same exceptional care to everyone, no matter the circumstance.

We strive to be transparent with our residents and their families, and that means no hidden fees or add-on costs. Our price is truly all-inclusive—it even includes the cost of incontinence products.

Providing the Comforts of Home

At Memory Lane, we believe that people with dementia benefit most from being in a safe, intimate, engaging environment where they can enjoy the things that make life worth living. Every resident has their own private bedroom, and residents eat meals in the dining room with staff like a family. Most importantly, the house itself is a true family home where your loved one will feel like they belong.

More Staff per Resident

At many assisted living facilities in Michigan, the ratio of staff to residents is 1:10. During the night hours, this ratio can even go down to 1:24. That means very little oversight for individual residents, leaving them vulnerable to numerous health and safety risks.

At Memory Lane, we have an around-the-clock staffing ratio of one staff member for every three residents during the day, and one for every six at night—more than double the average coverage. No matter the hour, a familiar face will always be there to respond to your loved one’s needs.
