A more human approach to memory care
Memory Lane Assisted Living bridges adult foster care, assisted-living-level memory care, and the comforts of home — built on the belief that a person-centered approach changes the trajectory of dementia care.
Memory Lane Assisted Living is a family-owned memory care and assisted living community in Ypsilanti, with three six-bedroom homes serving families across the greater Ann Arbor area.
Our team is made up of caregivers who strive every day to bring a more client-focused, human-centric approach to dementia care. Our goal is to bring the human element back to senior care in a small residential setting where your loved one gets the time, attention, and specialized care they deserve. We've seen firsthand the difference that a person-centered approach makes in the health and wellness of people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
What drives our approach
Holistic care
Every resident relationship begins with a comprehensive in-home evaluation by our Recreational Therapist. This lets us take your loved one's interests, experiences, career, and medical history into account in their care plan — not just their diagnosis.
Transparent, all-inclusive pricing
Most memory care facilities charge more once a resident requires a higher level of care. Because we understand the progressive nature of dementia, our rate doesn't increase as needs increase. No hidden fees, no add-on costs — the price even includes incontinence products.
The comforts of home
People with dementia benefit most from being in a safe, intimate, engaging environment. Every resident has their own private bedroom, residents share meals like a family, and the house itself is a true family home.
More staff per resident
At many Michigan assisted living facilities, the staff-to-resident ratio is 1:10 by day and 1:24 at night. Our ratio is 1:3 by day and 1:6 at night — more than double the average. A familiar face is always there to respond to your loved one's needs.
