Memory Care for Alzheimer’s Disease

Learn more about how Memory Lane takes exceptional care of adults living with Alzheimer’s disease in the Ann Arbor area.

The Very Best in Alzheimer’s Care in Ypsilanti, MI

An Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis is an emotional and challenging experience, both for the person receiving the diagnosis and their family. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, but caring for a person as they progress through the disease requires a tailored approach, a caring hand, and expert training. If you’re searching for a place your loved one can truly call home while receiving the devoted attention and specialized care they deserve, we invite you to visit us here at Memory Lane.

At Memory Lane, we approach Alzheimer’s care from a place of empathy and understanding, focusing on the person first. Our caregivers receive in-depth training on managing Alzheimer’s behaviors, changes, and challenges, and take the time to get to know each resident’s needs and preferences. Each of our six-bedroom houses is staffed with two caregivers throughout the day and one at night, ensuring a familiar face is always there by your loved one’s side.

Our Alzheimer’s Care Services

Memory Lane residents benefit from around-the-clock assistance with their physical and mental wellness needs. But in our comfortable home environment, they also enjoy all the things they would typically do at home, from eating home-cooked meals in the kitchen to relaxing on the porch.

Personal Care

We strive to make personal care more dignified for our residents. Our caregivers take the time to make grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance a comfortable experience.

Meal Preparation & Assistance

We prepare home-cooked meals every day with a variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Menus meet our residents’ nutritional needs and are shared together at the kitchen table. We also assist residents who have difficulty chewing or swallowing or face other nutritional challenges.

Medication Administration

Our caregivers help residents manage their medications, ensuring they always take the proper dose according to their doctor’s instructions. Caregivers understand each resident’s health needs and can adjust services as needed.

Care Management

We understand how critical it is to maintain clear communication with all members of your loved one’s care team. Memory Lane can recommend and coordinate external skilled care services as needed, including in-home physical, occupational, and speech therapist visits and more!

Housekeeping

The last thing your loved one should have to worry about is keeping a clean and healthy living space free of tripping hazards. That’s why laundry and housekeeping services are included in our pricing.

Recreational Therapy

It’s important for people living with Alzheimer’s disease to remain engaged in meaningful activities and focus on their remaining abilities. We provide daily recreational activities to promote positivity and social connections.

Your Alzheimer’s Care Questions Answered

Medicare and traditional health insurance don’t pay for long-term Alzheimer’s care, and Medicaid does not provide reimbursement for such a high level of care. However, at Memory Lane, we do accept long-term care insurance, and we provide transparent, all-inclusive pricing to take the guesswork out of figuring out how to pay for Alzheimer’s care. If you have questions, please feel free to request a consultation with our team.
